Abstract:

It discuss ways in which green agricultural development acts as a symbolic mechanism and through that environment can be reconstructed and protected. It explores the socio-agriculture formations that have taken place in China followed by development programs. It generalizes the empirical findings in the form of evaluation and analysis on the agriculture development and environmental issues in China. The findings indicate a shift to postmodern approach in the field of agricultural development and environment studies, with regarding to the increasingly contradiction between agricultural development and environmental sustainability.
