Possible Strategies for Increasing Free Trade in Europe and the
Americas

Author(s): Donald Grunewald

Citation: Donald Grunewald, (2010) "Possible Strategies for Increasing Free Trade in Europe and the
Americas," Journal of Leadership, Accountability and Ethics, Vol. 8, Iss. 1, pp. 90 - 94

Article Type: Research paper

Publisher: North American Business Press

Abstract:

Both the European Union (EU) and the North American Free Trade Area (NAFTA) have brought net economic benefits to the member countries and citizens of these economic free trade areas in the opinion of some economists. This paper is speculative in nature. It proposes consideration of some possible bold solutions that may help bring about wider free trade among Europe, the Americans and other areas of the world.  One possibility would be to somehow combine the European Union and NAFTA into one larger economic community. The paper discusses some ways to possibly do this.
